Floridian Natural Gas Storage wins ok for gas storage facility

Pipeline & Gas Journal, June, 2008

Floridian Natural Gas Storage Company recently received approval to develop two liquefied natural gas storage tanks in southern Florida. All necessary state and local approvals needed to build the 8 Bcf facility have been received by the company. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has issued a draft Environmental Impact Statement, finding no significant negative impact, as part of the agency's review of the proposed facility in Martin County.

FGS expects to receive its 7(c) certificate from the FERC this summer and break ground early next year with expectations of being operational by 2012. Additional information can be found at www.floridiangasstorage.com.
