Greenway/Nora Expansion to transport Appalachian gas

Pipeline & Gas Journal, June, 2008

East Tennessee Natural Gas LLC (ETNG), a subsidiary of Spectra Energy Partners, filed an application for the Greenway/Nora Expansion project with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to transport up to 50 MMcf/d of Appalachian natural gas.

As proposed, the project will move additional Appalachian supplies from ETNG's Nora Lateral supply point to various delivery points on the ETNG system including its key MidAtlantic interconnect point at Cascade Creek, NC. The project is substantially subscribed under long-term agreements with a variety of shippers including producers and local distribution companies.

The Greenway/Nora Expansion will be constructed entirely within ETNG's existing facilities footprint through the addition of 5.65 miles of 24- inch pipeline replacement in Virginia and various meter interconnect upgrades. The estimated cost of the project is $18.9 million. In-service is anticipated in December 2009.
