The American Gas Association and the Interstate Natural Gas Association recently filed a joint statement on gas quality at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission

Pipeline & Gas Journal, July, 2006

The American Gas Association (AGA) and the Interstate Natural Gas Association (INGAA) recently filed a joint statement on gas quality at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The statement endorses a "pipeline-by-pipeline" approach to addressing and resolving natural gas quality concerns and lays out a multi-step process whereby either a pipeline or its customer can initiate discussions of gas quality issues and, as part of this process, exchange historical information on gas quality and other relevant information.

According to the statement, group discussions with interested parties then may lead to pipeline tariff revisions being submitted to FERC in the form of a negotiated settlement.
