HFMA expands e-learning content distributors

Healthcare Financial Management, March, 2007

HFMA now provides e-learning content covering the most important issues in healthcare finance through two organizations: MC Strategies and KnowledgePlanet.

HFMA has renewed its relationship with MC Strategies as a distributor of its e-learning content. MC Strategies' focus is healthcare education, and HFMA has worked with MC Strategies since 2000. MC Strategies provides e-learning content to more than 1,300 healtheare providers. For more information, visit www.webinservice.com.

HFMA also is excited to announce a new relationship with KnowledgePlanet, which will add HFMA's e-learning content to its library.

KnowledgePlanet offers training to a variety of industries, including health care. Clients include University HealthSystems Consortium and Child Healthcare Corporation of America. For more information, visit www.knowledgeplanet.com.

HFMA offers online financial education in four curriculum categories: Financial Suite, Avoiding Claims Denials, Billing Suite, Cost Control, HIPAA, and Compliance Suite. Programs are designed to meet the educational and training needs of healthcare finance professionals:

"Training is so critical to performance, but access to training can be an obstacle," says Meg Flanagan, HFMA organizational solutions consultant. "A hospital cannot shut down business operations so its staff can attend a seminar. But through HFMA's e-learning products, an organization can provide just-in-time training to a variety of staff levels without ever leaving the office."

For more information on HFMA e-learning programs, visit www.hfma.org/events/elearning and click on "e-learning." If you would like training for your organization, contact Meg Flanagan at (800) 252-4362, ext. 310, or via e-mail at megflan@hfma.org.
