Concierge Services A New Employee Benefit - Brief Article

Kaiser Permanente's Oakland Medical Center, Oakland, California, has begun offering its employees free concierge services, including arranging dinner reservations, car repairs, package mailing, catering and event planning, picking up and dropping off dry cleaning, and lawn and garden care. The healthcare organization is offering the concierge services to all of its 3,000 employees and 300 physicians as a gesture of appreciation.

The medical center's top leadership believe that alleviating some of the employees' worries will enhance the quality of their work life. The new benefit could help with recruitment and retention of employees.
