Healthcare Financial Management, June, 2002
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services published a pilot edition of its Quarterly Provider Update, a new Web publication listing changes in Medicare and Medicaid regulations that either occurred in the previous quarter or are scheduled to take effect in the next quarter. The update also will include nonregulatory changes, such as manual instructions and program memorandums. In most cases, CMS will implement the instructions 90 days after publication in the update. Starting in July, the update will be published on the first business day of each quarter. To read the pilot edition, go to http://www.cms.hhs.gov/providerupdate.
