HFMA's president and CEO, Richard L. Clarke, FHFMA, has been named to serve on the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago 2003 Seventh District Advisory Council. The council promotes communication between the Chicago Fed and representatives from various economic sectors in the Seventh Federal Reserve District, which includes most of Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin, and the entire state of Iowa.

Input from council members on regional economic conditions contributes to the Federal Reserve System's formulation of national monetary policy. Advisory Council members are nominated by individuals and organizations representing a broad cross-section of the Midwest economy.
