Introducing HFMA's 1992-93 chapter presidents - Healthcare Financial Management Association

HFMA's 70 chapters provide dynamic programs of activity in every area of the United States and Puerto Rico, according to Thom D. Freyer, HFMA's director of chapter relations and continuous quality improvement. A chapter president leads a team of volunteers who provide programs, activities, and affiliation with the national Association to chapter members.

"These chapter leaders have already volunteered several years of dedicated service to HFMA," Freyer said. "Successful leadership has earned them the respect and votes of the chapter members who elected them."

Here is a brief profile, by region and in alphabetical order by chapter, of the 1992-93 chapter presidents.

REGION ONE

MASSACHUSETTS

Michael E. Conklin, Jr., FHFMA, CMPA, CPA, is senior vice president of finance at Faulkner Hospital, Boston, Mass. He has been a member of HFMA since 1977.

CONNECTICUT

Charles N. Starbranch is director of the financial services division at New Britain Memorial Hospital, New Britain, Conn. He has been a member of HFMA since 1983.

NEW HAMPSHIRE/VERMONT

William J. Hilton is director of patient accounting at Medical Center Hospital of Vermont, Burlington, Vt. He has been a member of HFMA since 1982.

MAINE

Bonnie S. Sollien is budget director at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston, Maine. She has been a member of HFMA since 1982.

RHODE ISLAND

Howard M. Dulude is vice president of finance at the Hospital Association of Rhode Island, Providence, R.I. He has been a member of HFMA since 1988.

CENTRAL NEW YORK

William D. Corbin, CPA, is vice president of finance at Tompkins Community Hospital, Ithaca, N.Y. He has been a member of HFMA since 1981.

METROPOLITAN NEW YORK

Richard J. Henley is vice president of finance and treasurer at Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. He has been a member of HFMA since 1978.
