A natural green tea extract has been launched by DSM Nutritional Products Inc. (Parsippany, N.J.). TEAVIGO[TM], with up to 94% EGCG (Epigallocatechin Gallate) is one of the active components of green tea. Using patented and innovative technology, the company extracts EGCG from green tea. The ingredient is nearly colorless and does not have the bitter taste. It is available in both powder and granular form and is optimal for adding to tablets or capsules to standardize the level of EGCG in green tea extracts.
