Lower Earnings, Changes at Horizon

Dairy Foods, March, 2001

BOULDER, Colo.-Horizon Organic announced last month that while sales increased by about 50%, the company would re port a loss in the range of 4 to 6 cents per share for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31. The shortfall is blamed on lower sales in the company's U.K. business. Also Horizon announced the promotion of two vice presidents to senior vice president positions.

The promotions streamline the company's U.S. management structure and allow more directly involvement in the U.K. operations.
