Blueberries Loved Worldwide

Customers all over the world are asking, "Do you have anything with blueberries?" In Japan there is blueberry mochi, blueberry sport drinks, and antioxidant rich blueberry ,juice. In Southeast Asia we find blueberry novelty ice cream bars and drinkable blueberry yogurt, in Canada blueberry smoothies, and in Mexico how about blueberry horchata or jugo de mora azul. In Europe a variety of blueberry products from sorbettos, to pates des fruits and helados with blueberries abound.

Why this interest? Consumers see blueberries as a value-added ingredient because they are linked to heart health, anti-aging properties, cancer prevention, improved eyesight and better memory.

Plus the response is, "give us natural." Consumers like the fact that blueberries are a natural ingredient, nothing added, no preservatives. They can be used whole, diced, fresh or dried, freeze-dried, as puree, concentrate or juice.

When formulating, remember to include cultivated blueberries.
