Elopak, Inc. is a leading supplier of liquid packaging systems, from high-volume fillers and gable-top cartons to resealable pour spouts and materials handling equipment. Its PURE-PAK [R] carton, which pioneered paperboard packaging around the world, is today the package of choice for Extended Shelf Life (ESL).
Elopak fillers feature the highest ESL sterility in the industry -- a 4-log kill rate -- and some routinely achieve shelf life of 65 days, depending on product. Yet they use just 2% hydrogen peroxide (compared to 35% for other fillers), thanks to a unique combination of UV light with the Ultra Clean [TM] laminar air system. This reduces operating costs while limiting exposure of product and personnel.

The Elopak ESL line includes the S90UC for standard cross-section cartons, the H90UC for half-gallons, and the S120UC for mini cross-section cartons.
The company has also recently introduced the high-volume U-ME240, which fills up to 24,000 mini cartons per hour -- 20% faster than the industry norm -- and can run up to five carton sizes. It features fully-automatic CIP, easy access for maintenance, and PLC technology.
PURE-PAK cartons also contribute significantly to ESL sterility, through their high quality and the light barrier they provide to protect flavor and vitamins. Elopak can supply these convenient, cost-effective packages with 4-color flexo or rotogravure printing, with skiving capabilities, and in a variety of bottom sealing styles.
In ESL and other packaging fields, Elopak offers total systems and takes total responsibility.
