The industry has experienced vanilla shortages before. David Michael's response is to offer viable solutions that are designed to ease the impact of both the supply and price issues. This includes its unique Supreme, Super Supreme and Premier vanilla extraction processes. These intensified vanillas are ideal for use in most dairy product applications and offer a 26-44% decrease over the usage of a typical two-fold vanilla extract.

In addition, the company offers a vanilla displacer, Vanguard, which is an all-natural, non-characterizing flavor that smoothes out a formulation. It typically permits a 30-45% reduction in usage levels of vanilla and vanilla vanillin extracts, sugars and powders.
