MINNETONKA, Minn. -- Philip Perkins, who spent more than 30 years in the retail drug industry at Snyder's Drug Stores, most recently serving as vice president of marketing, died July 21. He was 55 years old. In 1996, Perkins was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Perkins was an active member of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and was on the first NACDS/American Greetings Research Council. He also was a member of the NACDS Retail Advisory Council.

Contributions in his memory may be made to the Basilica of St. Mary Endowment Fund or the C.G. & M.E. Christenson Endowment Scholarship Fund care of Bethel Seminary.
