B&G Foods has agreed to buy Nestle USA's Ortega Mexican food brand. Financial terms of the deal, which is awaiting Federal Trade Commission approval, were not disclosed.

The Ortega brand includes taco shells, sauces, seasoning, salsa and refried beans. It is expected that Ortega's manufacturing operations will remain in Stoughton, Wis., according to published reports.

B&G, the maker of Polanar fruit spreads and B&G pickle products, is based in Parsippany, N.J.
