Pfizer expands pharmacy discount options

Drug Store News,  Sept 13, 2004

NEW YORK -- Pfizer has launched a new, comprehensive program to provide an array of pharmaceutical cost-saving options to the 43 million Americans who lack health coverage, the company announced Aug. 18.

Pfizer calls its umbrella program Pfizer Helpful Answers. The program, the company noted, "provides one-stop shopping to help America's uninsured identify and enroll in the Pfizer program that is best for them," including existing Pfizer patient assistance initiatives and the new Pfizer Pfriends program, which was announced July 7. Helpful Answers also will refer patients to other programs for which they may be eligible, such as Medicaid, state prescription assistance programs and other publicly funded programs.

Consumers can call a toll-free number, (866) 776-3700, or can log on to www.pfizerhelpfulanswers.com to get information about available savings on Pfizer medications.
