ERx Network, a provider of transaction processing and clearinghouse services to retail pharmacies, last month introduced a new solution to aid pharmacists submitting, claims for prescription drugs covered by Medicare Parts B and D.

Under current CMS guidelines, the new Medicare Part D program and the existing Medicare Part B program include a group of dual-covered drugs. Accurate billing of the dual-covered drugs requires pharmacist., evaluation of the patient's medical condition and other factors.

The eRx Medicare B/D Dual Coverage Solution is designed to provide billing-decision support to retail pharmacies at the point of dispensing for the dual-covered drugs.
