Drug Store News,  Jan 15, 2007

> NEW YORK -- Ten years after its inception, the Asheville Project is getting recognition. On Dec. 30, the campaign to improve the health and lower medical costs of patients with diabetes and other conditions made the front page of The New York Times. Featured in the story is the beneficial effect pharmacists have on patients' well-being in lowering treatment costs for diabetes and other conditions through preventive health care efforts, patient monitoring and early interventions, as well as the role Kerr Drug plays in Asheville's disease management efforts.
