ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- A new Internet-based networking and communications program is available now to pharmacists who provide disease management and other specialized patient care services, according to the National Institute for Pharmacist Care Outcomes.
NIPCO, the disease management arm of the National Community Pharmacists Association, announced late last month the launch of an e-mail subscriber network as part of the NIPCO Affiliate Program. The listserv allows subscribing pharmacists to communicate with one another via e-mail and gain quick access to information about one another and about other patient-care activities and services.

NIPCO's Affiliate Program was unveiled in October 2002 at NCPA's Annual Convention in Nashville, Tenn. The program gives pharmacists the opportunity to network with one another, showcase their own patient-care activities and obtain information on fee structures for their disease management services, among other things. It also provides mentoring services for pharmacists from patient-care specialists.
