Cardinal Health announced last month the opening of an $80 million drug-development facility in Somerset, N.J. The center delivers such services as analytical science, formulation of innovative delivery techniques and clinical manufacturing.

The 265,000-square-foot facility houses an 80,000-square-foot pilot plant for producing clinical supplies on a turnkey basis. The center includes labs for formulating Cardinal's proprietary delivery techniques and will specialize in softgel, oral solid and liquid and Zydis technologies.
