Unilever, L'Oreal shake up exec ranks

Several major beauty companies recently announced changes to their executive teams, including Unilever, which has combined its U.S. hair care, antiperspirant and deodorant business.

As part of the move, Kevin George, vice president and general manager of the deodorant business, will become vice president and general manager of the combined antiperspirant, deodorant and hair care business. The combined portfolio includes such brands as Axe, Degree, Suave, Dove and Sunsilk.

Lisa Klauser, vice president of brand building and marketing excellence, has been named vice president of the newly formed Consumer and Customer Solutions organization. Klauser will lead integrated and multicultural marketing, visual branding, brand public relations, category management, shopper marketing and consumer market insight.

In addition, L'Oreal has announced that at the end of February Patrick Rabain, executive vice president of consumer products, will retire. Succeeding Rabain is Jean-Jacques Lebel, executive vice president of professional products.
