Coty's Rimmel London introduces new products, faces

Drug Store News, Feb 9, 2009

NEW YORK -- Coty Inc.'s Rimmel London brand is gearing up for 2009 with new faces for its 2009 campaign, and an array of new beauty products.

Rimmel London offered beauty editors a glimpse of the new products at a recent press event held in Manhattan at the upscale Journelle lingerie boutique--an ideal venue for the launch of the new Sexy Curves Mascara. On hand to treat guests to a makeover was makeup artist Jo Strettell.

Starting in spring 2009, singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor and model and actress Lily Cole will become the newest faces of Rimmel London, joining the iconic Rimmel star Kate Moss.

Ellis-Bextor, former lead in the indie band, The Audience, is now a solo artist with four albums under her belt.

As a model, Cole has graced the covers of British Vogue, Arena and Surface. Also a budding actress, Cole can be seen as the female lead in Terry Gilliam's film, "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus."

On the product front, Rimmel London has introduced for 2009 its new Sexy Curves Mascara that promises to deliver up to 70% curlier lashes. For kissable lips, there's the new Lasting Finish Kiss & Stay Gloss, a double-ended lip gloss and shine applicator. Rimmel London also has introduced the new Stay Matte Clarifying Matte Foundation.
