Hair buns ...

The trend: Classic hairstyles are the 'mane' attraction.

In times of uncertainty, teens revert back to the styles of the '50s, an era that defined security. A few years ago, messy up-dos were the style of choice. Now, teens are loving the neat, classic bun--r casual outings and formal-affairs.

Cuff watches ...

The trend: A fun-ctional way to tell time.

To teens, watches are accessories, not time pieces. Cuff watches allow them to customize their looks, changing bands to match their outfits.

Trucker hats ...

The trend: Retro headgear fuses music and fashion.

Many of us remember these foam-front, mesh-back hats from the 70s. But for teens, this is a new trend started by the likes of Justin Timberlake and Avril Lavigne.

Other trends:

Suspenders continue the Annie Hall comeback started in 2002 by Avril and her ties ... Leo DiCaprio is still America's only true teen heartthrob ... Polka-dots--another '50s style making an encore with teens ... The U.K. band TheStreets could be the next big music act ... Sims Online--teens like to customize everything, even their video games.
