CVS has selected NBTY

CVS has selected NBTY as its exclusive supplier for all existing SKUs of its private label vitamins and supplements.

As an added value, NBTY supplies its wholesale customers with the supplement sales data of its Vitamin World franchises. Customers can use that data to develop action plans for their dietary supplement planograms.

The deal does not preclude CVS from developing new private label supplement products with other suppliers in the future, a CVS spokesman noted.

According to Adams, Harkness & Hill, an investment bank that specializes in nutritional companies, the deal should generate $25 million in annual revenue for NBTY.
