Duracell later this year plans to launch Duracell LP1, a new battery designed specifically for use in portable digital audio devices, such as MP3, portable CD and Mini Disc players.
With a flat profile, Duracell LP1 was designed to meet the size requirements of thin audio devices while providing device manufacturers and consumers with an 'always ready," premium-quality power solution.

The Duracell LP1 measures 6.1 mm thick and requires no chargers or recharging. Currently, more than 200 digital audio devices can be powered with Duracell LP1 batteries, according to the company.
