NEW YORK -- CornerDrugStore.com, the Internet utility provider for small chains and independent pharmacies, will "go live" with its first 500 stores May 2, according to vice president of sales Tom Bunge.
"Each one will have the same type of shopping and search tools and technology as the best Internet sites on the Web," said Bunge. "We like to think of them as 500 individual PlanetRx's."
The company plans to roll out Web sited for an additional 500 stores every two weeks until all 4,000 CornerDrugStore member stores can accept orders online.

In addition, the company recently added the 32 stores of Des Moines, Iowa-based Drug Town, a chain within Hy-Vee Inc.
