Pharmaceutical Resources sells generic BuSpar

Spring Valley, N.Y.-based Pharmaceutical Resources has received FDA approval to market buspirone hydrocholride in 7.5 mg tablet form. Beginning March 29, Par has 180 days of marketing exclusivity for this dosage. Buspirone is the generic equivalent of Bristol-Myers Squibb's anxiety drug BuSpar.

BuSpar sales reached $700 million last year.
