Rite Aid promotes Mead and Feldman to vp positions

SHIREMANSTOWN, Pa. - Rite Aid has promoted Suzanne Mead to vp-corporate communications and Joel Feldman to assistant vp-third-party programs.

In addition, Tom Bonburg has resigned as president of Concord Custom Cleaners, a subsidiary of Rite Aid. His replacement has not been named.

Mead's responsibilities have been expanded to include advertising, in addition to the public relations and corporate communications responsibilities she handled as assistant vp-corporate communications.

Feldman, in his new position, will oversee the marketing of third-party programs and review and negotiate third-party contracts. In addition, he will manage provider relations.

Feldman joined Rite Aid last year as director of third-party administration, working with Mike Winkelman, at that time vp-third-party prescriptions, who subsequently left and was replaced by Eric S. Sorkin. Feldman came to Rite Aid from the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, where he worked in governmental affairs.

Mead joined Rite Aid in 1986 as executive assistant to the chairman of the board. Before that, she was associate director of the Americas Society and marketing director at World Business Weekly.
