DrSN sponsors back-to-school seminar at show

NEW YORK--Drug Store News will co-sponsor a panel discussion on "Marketing Update '89: Mass Marketing Back-to-School-Stationery-Office Supplies," to be held Feb. 12 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Room 1A03 of the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center here during the 1989 National Back-To-School Merchandise Show.

All those coming to the show are invited to attend the discussion, which will include such topics as trends in specific markets, best-performing stationery products in 1988, problems in merchandising stationery and views on using several vendors vs. consolidating supply sources.

Panelists include Dan McAllister, stationery buyer, Kerr Drugs; John Kinzi, director of general merchandising, Drug Emporium; Lance Clark, merchandise manager, Snyder Drug; Larry Fine, vp/divisional merchandise manager, Jamesway; and Steve Appel, chairman, Office World. Moderators are Jay Forbes, publisher of Drug Store News, and Fred Filer, publisher of Discount Store News, which is co-sponsoring the discussion.

Coffee and pastries will be served from 8 to 8:30 a.m. in Room 1A03, which is on the same exhibit level as the show. Admission is free to registered buyers and exhibitors.
