Cycomm gains patent for voice scramble attachment - Cycomm International Inc

Cycomm International Inc. [CYI] received a Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for a cellular phone attachment that prevents eavesdropping by scrambling voices. The device, marketed by the name "Slice," first was developed for Motorola Inc.'s [MOT] MicroTac phone, but now is available with other phones.

Cycomm also hired Ronald Brown as vice president-sales and marketing for its Portland division, Cycomm Corp. He was president and CEO of Notable Technologies Inc. (Susan Boon, Cycomm, 800/367-7748.)
