The company said certification helps ensure the integrity of bulk ingredients during manufacturing, packaging and transit. "In recent years, FDA has adopted new rules to protect the public from physical, chemical and biological contamination of food supplies, UNSA execs Said. In response, Packaging Concepts/UNSA launched its own initiative to develop HACCP guidelines, the company upgraded its processes with a new factory and production line solely for manufacturing hygiene-certified FIBCs. In addition, UNSA formed a HACCP team among employees Team members completed through training on HACCP rules and the impact their performance has on maintaining product integrity." Packaging Concepts supplies a broad line of extra-strength hygiene-certified UNSA-FIBCs for the packaging of chemicals and pharmaceuticals, and food products, including beer-related raw materials. The company said that hygiene-grade FIBCs are manufactured from 100% food-approved polypropylene and other materials.
