Modern Brewery Age, March 29, 2004
Invention Submission Corporation has announced that one of its clients, an inventor from South Dartmouth, Mass., has designed a device that would enable users to press a plastic six-pack tray into place, with one smooth motion. This invention is patented and a prototype is available.
According to the inventor, the "Six-Packer" would save time when using plastic trays to make six-packs from boxes of twenty-four bottles. The device is designed to press a plastic six-pack tray into place with ease. "Using the Six-Packer would eliminate the need to press each bottle into a plastic tray by hand, protecting fingers from sharp bottle caps," ISC states. The unit would have six holes to accommodate the bottles and two finger holes in the center. To use a plastic, six-pack tray is placed on top of six bottles, and the Six-Packer is pressed downward on the plastic tray, anchoring the tray to each bottle.
