Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedSilent auction at ASBC
Modern Brewery Age, March 28, 2005
The American Society of Brewing Chemists (ASBC) will hold a silent auction during the 2005 ASBC Annual Meeting, June 11-15, 2005 in Savannah, Georgia. The proceeds of the auction will benefit the ASBC Brian Williams Scholarship Fund.
The Brian Williams Scholarship Fund was created in honor of the late Brian Williams, a longtime member of ASBC, the Master Brewers Association of the Americas (MBAA), and dedicated member of the brewing industry community. The ASBC Foundation's goal is to build the Brian Williams Scholarship Fund to a total endowment of at least $20,000 by June 2006. This will allow the Foundation to present at least one $1,000 scholarship every year to a deserving graduate student in Brian's name.

The brewing industry is invited to donate goods and/or services to auction at the ASBC Foundation silent auction. Donated items can range from corporate novelties and company products to services, event registration fees, special event tickets, and collectables. Unique items are always popular and stimulate the bidding. Hotel stays and restaurant gift certificates are also popular. All donations are tax-deductible.
Those who are interested in contributing should contact the auction chair Kathy Kinton at kinton.kathy@mbco.com. Items may also be brought to the meeting or shipped to ASBC Headquarters to the attention of Amy Steigman at 3340 Pilot Knob Road, St. Paul, MN 55121 U.S.A. by early June.
