Craft brewers in spotlight at Olin business school

Modern Brewery Age, April 19, 2004

The 2004 Babson Entrepreneurship Conference was held April 2nd in Babson's F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, in Wellesley, Mass.

Keynote speakers included Gary Loveman, President & CEO of Harrah's Entertainment, Thomas Stallkamp, Chairman & CEO of MSX International, and former Vice Chairman and President, Daimler/Chrysler; and David Fialkow, Managing Director of General Catalyst Partners.

Among those serving on panels were Alan Newman, Founder, Magic Hat Brewery, Sam Calagione, Founder & President, Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, Peter Egelston, President, Smuttynose Brewery, and Bob Mulcahy, President, Smugglers Notch Resort. The symposium was open to the public and featured a series of panel presentations on trends in entrepreneurship led by Babson faculty. Microbrewing was the topic of the first panel session.
