Lucy Sholley leaves the Boston Beer Co

Modern Brewery Age, June 19, 2000

Lucy Sholley, the well-respected jack-of-all-trades for the Boston Beer Company, has been lured from the beer business by the siren song of an internet start-up company. Sholley had worked at Boston Beer for more than 11 years, handling communications, advertising and even beer-pouring at Sam Adams luncheons.

"I'm loving my work at an Internet start-up," Sholley said, "but I miss a few things: my friends at Sam Adams, all that delicious free beer, and the smart, nice, funny people who write about beer. Internet reporters axe not half as much fun as you beer guys. The beer industry is full of great people.'
