Modern Brewery Age, August 9, 2004
The investment web-site Motley Fool sees strength in Boston Beer's second quarter numbers, calling Boston, "best of class [among micros] with superior revenues, earnings, volume, and margins."
The Fool's Nathan Slaughter wrote of the Boston balance sheet: "With more than $55 million in cash and zero debt, it's as clean and clear as one of the company's signature brews."
"Seasonal beers and the flagship brand have been flying off retailers' shelves lately," Slaughter writes, "but Sam Adams Light's weakness remains a concern. There is fierce competition in the low-calorie market."
