Modern Brewery Age, Oct 14, 2002

Miller Brewing Co. has confirmed reports that it has placed under review the assignment to create advertising campaigns for Foster's beer, according to The New York Times.

For the past two years, the Chicago office of J. Walter Thompson has handled the Foster's account, the Times said. Estimated spending on the imported brand, which Miller distributes in the United States, was about $14 million.

Miller spokeswoman Molly Reilly confirmed the review, which was reported by The Chicago Tribune and the online edition of Adweek. J. Walter Thompson was invited to take part in the review along with three or four other ad agencies, which she declined to identify.
