Rockies Brewing Co. of Boulder, CO, has announced the annual release of Never Summer Ale, a World Beer Cup Gold Medal winner. "Deep ruby red in color, assertively hopped and brewed with dark caramel malt, Never Summer Ale makes even the coldest Colorado peaks seem warm," says brewmaster and "slope shredder" David Zuckerman.

Never Summer is part of the brewery's "Looking Glass Series" of specialty beers, along with Hazed & Infused Dry-Hopped Ale, MoJo IPA and Sweaty Betty Blonde Wheat. The Looking Glass beers originated as a testing ground for developing new small batch recipes, and are initially offered on draft and in 22-oz. bombers only. Hazed & Infused was the first to come out in 12-oz. six packs in May 2003. From November-March, Never Summer Ale will be available through the winter months in 12-oz. six packs, 22-oz. bombers and on draft throughout Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio and Indiana.
