According to Wet Planet, the development of Poker Beer could foreshadow society's "most popular drinking game since spin the bottle," To play poker with Poker Beer, consumers must examine the back label of each bottle. On the label is a randomly generated hand of four cards, According to Wet Planet, the company uses a random printing and packaging system to ensure broad variability of the hands in any given case of beer. With four cards known, the players must open the bottle and examine the interior of the bottle cap to find the "hole" card. "Drinking beer and playing cards have always gone hand-in-hand," the company says in a statement. "With Poker Beer, friendly games will become ongoing competitions." Goodness know, the gambling addicted may prove particularly vulnerable to this pitch. "Imagine the case sales!" Wet Planet enjoins. Poker Beer is packaged in 12-ounce six-packs, and the beer contains 5.9% alcohol by volume.
