Laurie Knight has been named director of government affairs at the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA). Knight will oversee the day-to-day management of the NB WA's government affairs department and will be responsible for monitoring legislative issues that affect the Association.
"In her new role, Laurie's experience will help advance NBWA's public policy efforts before members of Congress, as well as continue to concentrate our efforts on the Association's core mission of advocacy on behalf of the its membership," said NBWA President David Rehr. As a Washington insider, Laurie is highly respected among her colleagues."

Rehr will continue to serve as the chief lobbyist for NBWA. Knight will work with Rehr to execute programs and initiatives on behalf of NBWA members.
Knight joined the National Beer Wholesalers Association in 1999 as a Washington Representative. Prior to joining the Association, she served as the legislative director for Congressman Jim Turner (TX-2). Before joining Turner, Knight practiced law for several years in Texas.
