This is the fourth gold medal awarded to Penn Gold at the GABF. "We are thrilled to have again earned gold medal recognition and accolades from our peers and beer lovers around the world for Penn Gold," said Penn Brewery founder Tom Pastorius. "As a four-time gold medal winner, Penn Gold has definitely earned its name." Pastorius attributed the streak of medal wins to the brewery's adherence to traditional methods. 'Beer is more than a business to me," he said, "It's my passion. All our beers are brewed in accordance with the Reinheitsegebot. We use only tow-row barley and imported Hallertau hops, with no adjuncts and no chemical additives or preservatives. None of our beer is produced using high-gravity methods, and all our beers are carbonated naturally."
