Caption: The Left Hand Brewing Company of Longmont, CO, has released its XXXmas Ale for the holidays. The brew will be limited to 80 barrels, and will only be sold in half-barrel kegs and 22-ounce bottles. XXXmas is a spiced ale,

with a variety of flavorful elements including ground nutmeg, orange zest, whole cloves, crushed cinnamon and chopped ginger. "XXXmas Ale is a great example of a hand-crafted ale that requires an abundance of manual labor," said heat brewer Dick Doore. "The brewers had to zest six cases of oranges and chop all the spices by hand to give the ale its great spicy aroma and taste."
