Celebs transform Grolsch bottles in "pop art" for charity

The National Prostate Cancer Coalition recently enlisted a slate of celebrities to paint Grolsch bottles in "pop art" style as a money-raising tool. The charity asked Donald Trump, Woody Allen, Bernie Mac, Carson Daly, Charlie Rose, Lil Kim and other celebrities to paint Swingtop bottles by Grolsch beer, the sponsor the "Pop Art" celebrity auction on ebay.

The signature Grolsch Swingtop bottles have been transformed into designer Pop Art. Beginning today, the Grolsch Pop Art will be auctioned off on the Giving Works section of eBay. "Grolsch is honored to do our part in the fight against prostate cancer," said Bas Besselink, Grolsch Marketing Manager, United States Beverage. "This disease effects men and their families everywhere and we share the belief that there is an urgent need for fundraising efforts to support research as well as awareness and screening programs." "We are tremendously grateful to Grolsch and the celebrities involved for coming together for this cause," National Prostate Cancer Coalition President and CEO Richard N. Atkins, M.D. "With a man being diagnosed with prostate cancer every two and half minutes, awareness programs like this one are the key to encouraging men and their families to know the risks and when to begin annual screenings."
