Krones, Inc. of Franklin, WI, presented its newest labeler, the Linaroll n-line, roll-fed system at the Pack Expo 2001, held in Las Vegas in the all. According to Krones, the Linaroll is the first member of a Krones family of roll-fed labelers. The unit features Krones rotary labeling technology, with a servo-driven labeling station, frequency-controlled main drive and integrated control cabinet Labels are unwound from the reel, cut on the computer and applied ata hot melt glue station.

According to the company, the Linaroll offers total changeover in 5 to 10 minutes, and can accommodate glass, steel, aluminum or PET containers.

"Linaroll users should save up to one third in the cost of label stock," says Konie Brenneman of Krones. "This is because roll-fed film labels, like those cut and applied by the Unaroll, cost significantly less than traditional cut-and-stack labels. This labeler has been designed to apply paper and film labels, including PS, HDPE and OPP, at rates from 50 cpm to 350 cpm."
