Coors names Mansfield to head international marketing division

George F. Mansfield has been promoted to director of International Marketing at Coors Brewing Co.

In his new position, Mansfield will be responsible for initiating, developing and managing all Coors Brewing Company international business in the Pacific Rim, Asia, Australia, and Canada.

Mansfield first joined the company as an assistant brand manager for new products in 1985. In 1988, he was promoted to brand development manager and was responsible for marketing and business planning for Coors' two specialty brands, Killian's Red and Winterfest. He was also responsible for managing several international projects for Coors Brands.

Coors products are available in 15 countries through a variety of strategic marketing partnerships, including joint ventures, licensing and export agreements.

Coors' current international projects include a joint venture agreement with Jinro Limited, a diversified food, beverage, industrial and financial services company to build and operate a brewery in the Republic of Korea.

Coors also has licensing agreements with Molson Breweries in Canada and Asahi Breweries in Japan, and export partnerships with 12 countries.
