Coors renews Silver Bullet sponsorship

Coors Brewing Co. has announced that it will renew sponsorship of the Colorado Silver Bullets Women's Baseball team in 1995.

In making the announcement, Bill Weintraub, senior vice president of marketing, Coors Brewing Co., said, "The Silver Bullets were one of the major stories in the world of sports in 1994, and we're thrilled that Coors Light was able to play a role in this historic undertaking. We look forward to continuing our relationship as the team moves into its second season."

The Colorado Silver Bullets were the first all-women's professional baseball team to play against men's teams. The team is managed by Phil Niekro, a former major league player and Hall of Fame candidate.
