Erin Brew tops list

Erin Brew received first-place honors in the popular judging at the 1989 Great Taste of the Midwest beer festival held in Middleton, WI recently.

The festival and beer judging is the biggest beer tasting competition in the Midwest and this year nearly 60 beers were tasted and compared by more than 600 beer makers, beer writers and beer lovers.

The award is the second nationally recognized beer tasting honor won by Erin Brew since its introduction into the market in May, 1988. Last summer, Erin Brew was voted the "Top Lager in the Lower 48 states" at the Great American Beer festival.

Erin Brew is produced by Cleveland Brewing Co., a microbrewery, and is distributed throughout Cleveland and northeast Ohio markets. Erin Brew's brewers compare the beer taste to European beers, but, unlike those beer exported to the U.S. which use preservatives to maintain shelf life, Erin Brew is 100-percent natural.
