CIA event will honor Parker

Wine critic Robert M. Parker, Jr., will be honored for the 25th anniversary of his newsletter, The Wine Advocate, in a two-night gala. Sponsored by the world's great wine producing regions, the tribute will be held at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA)'s Greystone headquarters in St. Helena, Calif., Oct.

22-23. Proceeds from the celebration's various activities (costing $250-2,000) will establish an endowment for the Robert Parker Wine Advocate Scholarships for Professional Wine Studies at CIA's Rudd Center. For details, visit the Web site ciachef.edu.
