Veuve Cliquot Adds Australian Winery

Veuve Cliquot, part of the LVMH French corporation, has purchased Mountadam, a small producer of premium wines in the Eden Valley of Australia. Cliquot also owns Cape Mentelle in the Margaret River region and, through its Moet and Hennessey arm, Domaine Chandon, a sparkling wine producer in the Yarra Valley.

Mountadam currently has sales of about $A5 million from 45,000 cases, half of which are exported, mainly to the United States, Japan and the U.K.
