ISP is going private

International Specialty Products, Inc. (ISP) has reached an agreement with its majority stockholder to take the company private. Samuel J. Heyman, who currently beneficially owns approximately 80.9% of ISP's outstanding shares agreed to purchase the remaining publicly traded shares for $10.30 cash per share.

The transaction is expected to proceed as a merger, and has a value of approximately $130 million. ISP is a multinational manufacturer of specialty chemicals and mineral products.
